How it all began

MASVERIN began with a standard its founders had taken for granted.

Growing up in the Maldives, good tuna was not considered a premium item. It was simply part of everyday life, shaped by a fishing culture where tuna have been caught one fish at a time using pole and line for generations.

After making Australia home, they realised how much they had taken for granted.

Tuna was easy to find. The tuna they knew wasn’t.

That realisation became MASVERIN.

Founded in Australia and rooted in the Maldives, MASVERIN was created to bring that standard to Australian tables: single-origin Maldivian tuna, caught one fish at a time and packed in the Maldives.

The tuna they grew up with, for the place they now call home.
